Feng Shui and Childrens Bedrooms |
|
We all want happy, healthy and fun
loving children, don’t we? Here are some tips to ensure a good
nights sleep! The bedroom must create a warm and harmonious
environment that will support our children whilst they are sleeping.
-
A cluttered bedroom will affect
the quality of sleep and can cause emotional stress
-
Check out any angles in the
bedroom either caused by walls or cupboards to ensure that they are
not aligned with any part of the bed when the child is sleeping
-
It is recommended not to install
any televisions, hi-fi equipment, computer and other electrical
appliances in a child’s bedroom as they emit harmful
electromagnetic waves which can affect the child’s sleep and
mental health
-
Check the position of the external
electrical box if it is on the wall that is aligned with the child’s
bed it is recommended to relocate the bed
-
Ensure that the bed is not located
under a ceiling beam, if there is a beam it is recommended to have a
false ceiling installed
-
Ensure that the bed is not located
under the window, if there is no choice and it is the only position
available, close the blinds at night
-
Use the Ming Gua or Life Analysis
of the child to determine the best position to locate the bed head
-
Ensure that there are no negative
features outside the window such as corners of roofs, trees etc
-
If there are trees outside the
window making the bedroom very dark and gloomy it is recommended to
remove the trees or at least cut them back to allow light into the
room
-
Bunk beds are not recommended as
they do not allow free movement of Qi for either child – the Qi is
either suppressed by the above bed or the closeness to the ceiling
-
It is recommended that a bed
should not be placed under slanted ceilings, Qi is suppressed and
unable to flow freely and can cause disturbed sleep or headaches
-
Irregular shaped rooms are not
recommended as Qi flow is disturbed, the best type of rooms are
those that are square or rectangular in shape
-
If the child has a study desk in
the room, it is advisable to position the desk with a solid wall
behind and facing a favourable direction for the child
