| Renovating: Why not choose a good date to start? |
The Chinese Almanac or Tong Shu is one of the best sellers at the start of each year and you will find that most Chinese families will have a copy. This gives you general information but it is not specific to you – based on your own birth date. Date Selection is choosing the right date and hour to undertake a specific activity such as signing contracts, getting married, ground breaking, beginning renovation works, opening a business, getting a divorce, going on a diet, having a medical procedure performed or installing a Feng Shui remedy. It can even be used for job interviews and official openings. In Yin House Feng Shui Date Selection is used to dig the grave, align the tombstone and then the laying of the body to rest. How can you use Date Selection for renovating your property? First off it is worth knowing what compass sector you intend to start the renovations in. Each year there are general afflictions or certain energies that are not suitable for renovation. In 2009, the East, North East 1, Southwest 1 and North 2 are not recommended for renovation. Then based on your date of birth and the sitting direction of your home a day and hour specifically suited for renovation is chosen. If for some reason you have to renovate one of the negative sectors for the year there are certain formulas that can be applied to assist in an appropriate date. What happens if you can’t find a good date in the time allowed? If you can’t find a good date to commence renovating at least endeavour to avoid using a bad date. What can you expect from Date Selection? The objective is to carry out the activity on the most ideal day to activate and tap into the optimum Qi present on that day and hour thus ensuring a positive outcome. In this day and age when time is money the last thing anyone needs in renovating is delays and setbacks.
