The Feng Shui of Your Home Print E-mail

Your home can be far more than a visually appealing, and functional, building.

It has a direct effect on your level of energy, your thoughts and the way you handle day to day stresses.

If you can analyse the chi flowing through your home you will be given clues to why life may not be flowing as easily as it could be. To change your life’s experiences you can start with the energy flowing in your home, by strengthening the flow of chi within it. This will have a direct result upon strengthening your mind, body and spirit. If we have ‘low level’ (sometimes called ‘Sha’, ‘bad’ or ‘unlucky’)  chi flow in our home it will block the flow of high level (‘Sheng’, or high quality) chi. The more low level chi in your surroundings, the more low level energy you will attract into your Life Experience.

Some low level energy attracting situations

  • Doors that ’stick’ or are hard to unlock and open, produce obstacles or setbacks and block your life from moving forward. This applies to any door.
  • An overgrown lawn, weeds in flower beds, rubbish in your garden, means your energy levels and thoughts are overwhelmed.
  • Un-cleaned windows can prevent you from ‘seeing’ the bigger picture clearly and cloud your thinking.
  • A disorganised wallet shows a lack of respect for money and in turn, an inability to attract more wealth.
  • Broken, rusty kitchen appliances or chipped plates correspond to someone not paying attention to the small yet important aspects of life. This can apply to anything which needs repair.
  • A neglected spare room can mean you are avoiding issues and neglecting important aspects of your life or health.
  • Too many nick-nacks corresponds to not feeling secure in life and the need to create a busy environment to make you feel secure and supported.

You are much more than just your home and your possessions.

It is more than likely if you have an accumulation of low level situations in your life that these will deplete your energy levels. Also, it is when this energy of a low level situation is left unattended that it can become something referred to as ‘toxic’ or ‘stagnant’ chi. This has a direct connection with the way we are able to enjoy our life’s experience. Removing an unsupportive, low level situation, will have an immediate impact upon the way you feel.

Making a commitment to take charge of one of these situations is essential to start correcting the chi flow in your home and lifting it up to a high quality level. Make a commitment to fixing up one area of low level chi you can identify, and observe the outcome in your life!

Fifteen minutes is one percent of your day. So in effect if you commit to spending more than one percent of your day fixing up things that deplete your energy, you will be able to effect positive change and improve your chi flow effortlessly. This is the potency of Feng Shui and the connectedness it has to all aspects of our life.

Here’s an exercise you can do at home for yourself, in just one fortnight, to show you how using Feng Shui theory can dramatically alter and improve the energy of your home and your Life Experience too.

Write down five things each week that ‘bug’ you about your home. (include aspects of the garden, garage or carport too)

Week One

1.

2.

3.

4.

5.

Spending just one percent of your day each day, (that’s just 15 minutes) find something you can do to change these things. Even putting a small amount of money away each day towards a project is ‘action’ being taken. Or, assembling a plan and helpers to achieve some of the things listed, is also considered ‘action’.

Week Two

1.

2.

3.

4.

5.

After your two week trial has completed, ask yourself the questions below.

  • In evaluating the outcome of fixing some or all of these things, how was the chi flow in your home influenced by taking charge of low level situations?
  • Do you think it had a positive effect on the chi flow in your mind as well?
  • Did you experience a greater feeling of calm when entering and spending time in your home?

Feng Shui is not always about complicated observational techniques and calculations. Sometimes its just basic observation and action in motion J
